How to Style Faux Fur

How to Style Faux Fur

You know blogger life is not at all easy as it looks like especially when you have only weekend for photoshoots. My hubby does photoshoots only on weekends because rest of time he is busy. Another important factor which affect my blog work is weather. That’s because there are not much indoor photoshoot locations here and I have almost covered every one of them. Other than that, we do website maintenance work as well on weekends. Anyway, for today’s post I decided to create two different looks to explain how to style faux fur. I have used just one faux fur jacket to create a party wear look and a casual look.

For the first look, I paired this fur coat with a dress which was pretty tricky. But I decided to do something outside my comfort zone and try a different look with faux fur and dress. There’s something about fur that adds a bit of luxe to every outfit and this coat is definitely no exception. It’s big, warm, snugly and perfect for a chilly day. Created a perfect party look with wine velvet dress which is from kinikiss. Then I added a fishnet with boots. Finally, I added a faux fur coat.

For another look I wore this cute faux fur coat with a black top and white distressed denim jeans. I added a peep toe bootie for a chic look. Jacket feature include a two-tone faux fur, short sleeves, side pockets followed by an open front. Since it’s a little oversized, it allowed me to do a ton of layers underneath. The trick of layering is to start with the most form-fitting piece first.

I was wearing: Dress: Kinikiss | Jacket: AmiClubWear | Top: Floerns | Jeans: Asos | Boots: Forever21 | Accessories: Fishnet: Forever21 | Lips: Givenchy & Lancome

Pearl Beading Coat

Another cold week here in USA but I can’t complain about it because its January after all. Today’s Morning was really beautiful because of snow fall, I will definitely add some pics on Instagram. The best part about winter is the variety of statement outer wears you can try. Colder weather allows us to be little bit creative and mix & match outerwear as we like. You get the ability to layer based on pattern mixing or combining of textures. Of course, one thing you need to keep in the mind is the severity of weather.

Here is a look we all can put together based on weather and location. I mixed up 2 hot trends to create this look, one is faux fur coat and other is over the knee boots. I am sure we all have these two main pieces in our wardrobe. Just pair a high waist skirt, a tank top and stocking to these latest trends and your style is complete.

One easy way to keep warm in winter while still looking stylish is with a statement coat. I continued my obsession with fur coat. Since it’s a little oversized, it allowed me to do layers underneath. I added a chunkier sleeveless denim top, a skirt and faux fur pearl beading coat. This coat is from romwe.com which I picked up recently. Coat is so soft and warm with the detailing of pearl beads. Even though I brought a bunch of shoes, I couldn’t stop wearing these OTKs boots. I bought half a size up so I could wear super warm socks underneath. Boots are from Amiclubwear.com.

You might have noticed that in the bottom I add links to shop the items I used in my look. So, start shopping those items if you like.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, thanks for stopping by!
